Things people ask before they book
How does your pricing work?
Every job is quoted as a fixed price before we start. Small jobs like a power point or a light fitting are priced over the phone from a description and a photo; anything bigger gets a quick look first. The quote is in writing and it is the price you pay unless you change the scope.
Is there a call-out fee?
Not for quoting. If you accept the quote, the visit is part of the job. For fault finding, where nobody can know the fix until we have looked, we quote a fixed diagnostic fee up front and tell you what the repair will cost before doing it.
How quickly can you come out?
Most small jobs are booked within a few working days, and urgent faults (no power, a tripping safety switch, a burning smell) are fitted in the same or next day wherever we can. Ring rather than email for anything urgent.
Do you do small jobs?
Yes. A single power point, a ceiling fan, a smoke alarm or a light that has stopped working are the bread and butter of the week. No job is too small to quote.
What is a Certificate of Electrical Safety?
A COES is the certificate a licensed electrician must issue for electrical installation work in Victoria. It records what was done and that it was tested. We lodge it with Energy Safe Victoria and email you a copy for every job, big or small.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. The work is done by A-Grade electricians and advertised under Registered Electrical Contractor number TBC, and we carry public liability insurance. Licence and insurance details are available on request.
