Encon Electrical exists because too many people in the east have been quoted one number and invoiced another. We run the electrical business we would want to hire ourselves: fair, clear, licensed and tidy.

Our promise

Not cheap. Fair.

Cheap and fair are not the same thing. Cheap is the corner-cutting that ends in a call-back, a failed inspection or a fire. Fair is doing the job once, properly, at a price you agreed to before anyone started.

So every job, however small, is quoted as a fixed price in writing first. If something on the day changes what needs doing, we stop, explain it, and quote again before going on. You will never see a number on the invoice you did not see on the quote.

We are electricians, not a franchise or a lead-generation site that sells your enquiry to whoever bids. When you ring, you speak to the person who will be doing the work.

These are the standards behind every job, from a single smoke alarm to a full rewire.

Fair fixed quotes

You get a price before any work starts, and that is the price you pay. No hourly surprises, no “while we’re here”.

Every job is quoted in writing before anyone picks up a tool. If we find something on the day that changes the scope, we stop, explain it and give you a new price to approve. You never see a number on the invoice that you did not see first.

Licensed and insured

A-Grade electricians working under a Registered Electrical Contractor, with public liability insurance.

Electrical work in Victoria may only be done by a licensed electrician and advertised by a Registered Electrical Contractor. Our REC number is on every page of this site, our licences are on the van, and our insurance certificate is available on request.

On time and tidy

We tell you when we are coming, we turn up then, and we clean up before we leave.

You will get a booking window, a message when we are on the way, and boots off or covers down inside. Dust from drilling is vacuumed, packaging goes in our van, and old fittings are taken away unless you want them.

A certificate for every job

A Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES) is issued for all electrical work, as Victorian law requires.

The COES is your record that the work was done by a licensed electrician and tested. You will need it for insurance, for a sale or lease, and for any future work on the same circuits, so we email it to you rather than leave it in a drawer.

A-Grade electricians

Every job is done by a licensed A-Grade electrician. Nobody unlicensed touches your wiring, ever.

Registered Electrical Contractor TBC

Our REC number is on every page of this site, as Energy Safe Victoria requires of every business that advertises electrical work.

Public liability insurance (TBC)

A certificate of currency is available on request. Ask before we start if you would like a copy for your records or your body corporate.

A COES for every job

The Certificate of Electrical Safety is lodged with Energy Safe Victoria and emailed to you. It is your proof the work was done properly.
