Encon Electrical (entity TBC) (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect when you use https://enconelectrical.com.au, ring us or email us, and what we do with it.

1. What we collect

Only what we need to quote and do the job:

  • Your name, phone number and email address
  • The suburb or address of the property the work is at
  • What you tell us about the job, including any photos you send
  • Payment details needed to issue an invoice (we do not store card numbers)

We collect this when you send the enquiry form, ring, email or message us, or accept a quote.

2. How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry, quote and book the work
  • To do the work, issue the Certificate of Electrical Safety and invoice you
  • To keep the records a licensed electrical contractor is required to keep
  • To let you know about a follow-up we recommended, such as a smoke-alarm test that is due

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists you have not asked to join.

3. Who we share it with

  • Energy Safe Victoria, on the Certificate of Electrical Safety, as the law requires
  • Suppliers and subcontractors only as far as the job needs (for example a supplier delivering to your address)
  • The software we run the business on (quoting, invoicing, email and this website’s enquiry service), which may store data on servers outside Australia under their own privacy terms
  • Anyone we are legally required to disclose to

4. Website analytics and cookies

This site may use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use it and how enquiries reach us, and Amazon CloudWatch to monitor how well the pages load. These tools use cookies and collect technical information such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. They do not identify you unless you send us the form. You can block cookies in your browser; the site still works.

Enquiries sent through the form are delivered to our inbox by a service hosted on Amazon Web Services in Sydney.

5. Storage and security

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above and for the record-keeping periods that apply to electrical contractors and to tax. It is stored in password-protected systems with access limited to the people running the business.

6. Access and correction

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email hello@enconelectrical.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

8. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
